Alan Lazowski
Chairman & CEO | LAZ Parking
Mr. Lazowski serves as the Chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking, which he co-founded in June of 1981 while attending the University of Connecticut. Based in Hartford, Connecticut Mr. Lazowski oversees all facets of LAZ Parking’s management operations, acquisitions, capital partnerships, growth strategy and plays a primary role in developing and implementing investment strategies of LAZ Parking Realty Investors, LLC. Widely considered a pioneer in the parking industry, Mr. Lazowski is currently on the Board of Directors of the National Parking Association, the United States Green Parking Council and he is deeply involved with a number of civic and charitable organizations in the Greater Hartford area. Mr. Lazowski serves on the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Home and Hospital, the Anti-Defamation League, Greater Hartford Jewish Federation, the Hartford Economic Development Company, the Urban League of Greater Hartford and the Chabbad House of Greater Hartford. Mr. Lazowski was awarded the Thomas and Bette Wolf Family Entrepreneurship Award at the University of Connecticut and completed coursework specializing in Real Estate Investment Analysis at Harvard University.
Peter Levin
Partner & Chief Investment Officer | LAZ Parking Realty Investors
As the Chief Investment Officer of LAZ Parking Realty Investors, LLC, Mr. Levin is responsible for developing and overseeing real estate investment activities and privatization investments for LAZ Parking. In addition, Mr. Levin oversees the asset management and accounting teams for LAZ Parking Realty Investors, LLC. Mr. Levin is responsible for financing acquisitions with third party debt and maintaining lender relationships. Based in Boston, Massachusetts Mr. Levin has over 27 years of real estate and capital markets experience. Previously, Mr. Levin was a Managing Director of AEW Capital Management where he managed the Capital Markets Group responsible for over $2.1 billion of transactions. Formerly, as Chief Financial Officer of the Hahn Company Mr. Levin oversaw all project finance and asset sales activities. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA from Haverford College.
Larry Stubbs
Partner & Chief Acquisitions Officer | LAZ Parking Realty Investors
As a Partner and Managing Director of Acquisitions of LAZ Parking Realty Investors, LLC, Larry Stubbs is responsible for origination and execution of parking investments. Prior to joining LAZ, Larry was Senior Vice President with GE Capital/InterPark for 10 years acquiring parking real estate nationwide. Before joining InterPark, Mr. Stubbs was a founding partner of Airport Satellite Parking, LLC, acquiring off-airport parking assets for investment partner Kohlberg & Company. Prior to Airport Satellite Parking, Mr. Stubbs oversaw New England and Mid-Atlantic parking acquisitions and operations for Kinney System, Inc. and consulted on strategy, acquisitions and operations restructuring in the healthcare sector for APM Consulting, Inc. Between 1983 and 1992, Mr. Stubbs was a Vice President in the Municipal Bond Department of William R. Hough & Co., where he served in various roles including trading, underwriting, and public finance. Mr. Stubbs holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
Jeffrey Karp
President & Co-Founder | LAZ Parking
As President and Co-Founder of LAZ Parking, Mr. Karp oversees management operations nationwide playing a significant role in the overall direction and success of the company. In this capacity, Mr. Karp implements regional growth initiatives, oversees parking and hotel valet operations, and coordinates the company’s business development activities. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Karp has had a profound impact on the parking industry, and for LAZ Parking been instrumental in developing personnel, implementing practices which maximize revenue and creating fundamental business partnerships. Mr. Karp is an active member of the Boston Downtown Crossing Association, Combined Jewish Philanthropic Organizations, B’nai B’rith Real Estate Charity Foundation, the Massachusetts Parking Association and various neighborhood alliances. In addition, Mr. Karp is on the Advisory Board of Save the Harbor Foundation. Mr. Karp holds a BS in Management from Northeastern University.
Michael J. Kuziak
Chief Operating Officer | LAZ Parking
Michael is a principal in LAZ Parking Realty Investors. He has been instrumental in the acquisition of core parking assets and institutional parking concessions. He is actively involved in setting strategy and is a member of the investment committee.
Michael is a principal shareholder of LAZ Parking and serves as its Chief Operating Officer. He joined LAZ Parking in 1981 as a valet parking attendant while earning a degree in finance and marketing at the University of Hartford.
Michael has served many community-based organizations during his career at LAZ Parking. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Jordan Matthew Porco Memorial Foundation (JMPMF), is Treasurer of the LAZ Charitable Foundation and serves as the President of the Council of Stewarts at St. Alexis Orthodox Church in Clinton, CT. He is also on the Board of Directors of Armco, a medical coding company operating in the US and Philippines.
Ted Silverman
Senior Vice President, LPRI
Ted joined LPRI as its Senior Vice President in December of 2019. He assists in overseeing the real estate investment, asset management and accounting groups for LPRI. Based in Boston, MA he previously served as Managing Director of Blumberg and Freilich Equities, a diversified family real estate office, where he managed the day to day operations and provided strategic leadership. Prior to BFE, Ted received his Masters in Business Administration from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business and did his undergraduate work at Brandeis University.
Kevin Shrier
Managing Director, LPRI
Mr. Shrier oversees the Parking Investment Management group for LPRI. Based in Chicago, IL he has over 30 years of real estate, parking investment and parking management experience. Previously Mr. Shrier was Chief Executive Officer and one of the founders of The Parking Spot (TPS), the nation’s largest and most innovative near-airport parking company. At TPS, Mr. Shrier led all strategic and operating elements of the business including development of the technology platform, asset management, real estate acquisitions, brand development, sales force execution and data analytics. Prior to his tenure at TPS, Mr. Shrier was an Equity Partner with Jones, Lang, LaSalle a global real estate investment management and services company. Mr. Shrier holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BA from Albion College.
Matthew Englander
Vice President Asset Management, LPRI
Matt, a Boston native, joined LPRI as its Asset Manager in March 2018. In his role, Matt oversees the operation and financial management of LPRI’s portfolio of urban parking assets, responsible for the formulation of effective business strategies to maximize portfolio performance. A graduate of Boston University and the University of Michigan, Matt has been teaching a first-year graduate course in Corporate Finance at since 2017. Prior to joining LPRI, Matt was Director of Tax Policy in the City of Boston Assessing Department.
Ben Karp
Vice President Acquisitions, LPRI
Ben serves as Vice President of Acquisitions at Laz Parking Realty Investors and is directly responsible for identifying sourcing and executing new investment opportunities, including surface parking lots, parking garages, land, and concessions. While at LPRI, Ben has helped acquire and deploy more than $100 million of capital into parking assets throughout the US. Prior to LPRI, he worked on the investment sales teams at Boston Realty Advisors and Cushman & Wakefield. Ben is deeply involved with several charitable organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League (Glass Leadership Institute), Youth Renewal Fund, and the Gift of Life. Ben holds an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from NYU and a B.S. in business from Tulane University.
Matthew Gray
Capital Projects Manager, LPRI
Matt joined LAZ in 2009, bringing with him over 8 years of Project Control and Project Management experience. Based out of Chicago, IL, he serves as a liaison between LAZ and architects, engineering firms, and contractors. Locally, Matt manages and oversees all CapEx projects, facility repairs, and maintenance work, providing insight while assisting in the strategic implementation of projects and timelines. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2001.
